I overheard mom talking about chicks. She thinks I will end up like this, but she's wrong.

We almost caught a bird
This is Tigger. The little house that our neighbors gave to our humans is a bird feeder. The humans have let it stay empty because we figured out how to catch birds from it. The other day, though, a persistent bird managed to squeeze into the house and we found him:
I tries really really hard to get in:
But neither Nash, nor I could, so we decided to watch the big cold white stuff fall - and we chased it...
Kitty crises - they come in droves
I overheard Mom talking about even more stray cats showing up at our nice country home in Tennessee. What are we to do with all these cats? Something needs to give. She even said they were mating in the woods and you know what that means: MORE KITTENS. I hate kittens. They keep me awake when I want to nap and steal attention.

What's in the little house?

He might not really be a cat
This is Tigger. Cats are known for our independence. We take the world on in our own terms. Not my brother Nash, though. He's trying to learn how to be a big teddy bear.
I would never stand for this.

Freddie got hurted and it smelled
This is Tigger. Mighty is no longer around growling at us, but there is still drama in the house. A few weeks ago, Mom came home and we were all surprised, but she was late. We were outside much past usual and all the scary animals came out.
One of the animals is a huge kitty who usually stays in the woods. They call him Peanut. He was hungry and tried to get the last few pieces of food, but Freddie told him no. They got into a big fight and we all ran and hid. I ran so fast it tore my back claw out and my foot started to bleed.
About that time, the car drove up, but we were all hiding except for Freddie who was by the front door. He was covered in blood and smelled like the other kitties urine. They took him inside and put him in a box after trying to wash him. He smelled so strange that we all stayed as far away as possible - what if he turned into Peanut while we weren't looking.
The next day, Freddie got a bath and a car ride and came home feeling a little better, but with a shaved arm and rear end. He had puncture wounds all over him! They started giving us all drops in our ears. We don't like drops in our ears.
Anyway, this week, Freddie has been feeling well, but he disappeared over night, then came back with a scary story. He had been in a room with other animals and they put him to sleep. When he woke up, he was in the car and sore. That happened to us a long time ago, but we have been playing gently with Freddie this week and are glad he no longer smells like Peanut.

Fat Freddie
My Human is a PUSHOVER. I was all excited because we moved to a new house. It came with TWO MORE CATS. This is Freddie with his friend Borax the duck. Borax scared me, but these two liked to scare each other. Then a coyote got Borax. No more duck.

No Respect
Mom took me on a long drive and we are now in a large house with a very small yard. Sometimes I see dogs outside and it scares me. The kittens did not come with us and Mom's friend was only here for about a week before he left too. I am lonely.
With all this change. I had a rough night. I was unable to sleep and played with the mouse on my scratching post until the morning. I felt a little guilty because the new human in our new house was sleeping on the couch. But I was restless and humans are supposed to sleep in their beds.
About 6, as I was enjoying a peaceful moment in my litter box, one of the bumbling humans who I BARELY know threw open the door and LOOKED at me. I hollered at him to give me privacy, but he didn't move, so I ran as fast as I could to try to hide, but darned these wood floors! I ended up losing my footing and sliding all over the place. I am so embarrassed.
NOW mom just showed me a photo of little Tigger and I thin kit might mean that my peaceful, lonely new home is about to be invaded - just as I am getting used to the solutide again!

Foiled .... They're Here to Stay
I kept holding out hopes that Tigger and Nash would find homes, but after Mom took them on a camping trip, it was clear they are here to stay. I have been so depressed, I can't write.
Lately, they have been interesting to watch, though. They chase each other around and are pals...
